Sian is a case manager with a professional background of over 13 years’ experience as a registered nurse and covers areas within central England. Her clinical expertise includes ICU, A&E, surgical, medical and community care spanning private, NHS and corporate sectors. Specialising in brain, catastrophic and orthopaedic injuries, Sian brings a comprehensive clinical background to each case. Having a wealth of experience in management, leadership, Sian works under the Rehabilitation Code 2015, conducting comprehensive assessments that considers past, present and future care and rehabilitation needs. Establishing a baseline for the client’s rehabilitation, Sian assesses the physical and psychological impacts of their injuries and identifies specific needs that supports the client’s progress towards their goals and overall rehabilitation. Sian maintains regular communication with external stakeholders including solicitors, insurers and employers during the course of her case management and utilises resources creatively to promote positive impacts, quality and cost-effective outcomes. Sian considers CHC or statutory services as a first port of call for any client’s needs and has extensive knowledge of accessing both statutory and private services and therapies in the area of central England. Sian is passionate about the challenges of thermoregulation in brain injury and seeking to gain approval from NICE as a mandatory standardised approach within all healthcare sectors in this currently unregulated area.
