Thank you for visiting our new resource page, providing experienced case managers with information about working with Social Return as a Case Management Associate (CMA).
Since Social Return was formed in early 2016, we have strived to create an environment where our employed staff can thrive and flourish in their professional roles. However, in recent years we have also been working to expand the scope of our organisation and support experienced case managers across the country, who may benefit from working with us in new and different ways. Just as each client we support is an individual who presents us with their own unique needs, goals, and expectations, so every case manager is different, and will have their own particular personal and professional needs and aspirations for the future. We recognise this, and we are committed to providing new opportunities and greater choice for case managers practicing within the United Kingdom. Whether you are already working as an associate, or you are an experienced case manager who is keen to learn more about this career path, we hope this page will provide you with useful information about what the role entails and the opportunities we can provide for you to thrive and flourish with Social Return... |

Who can become a Case Management Associate?
Most CMA’s will have gained significant experience as a case manager over a number of years prior to taking on associate work. Many will also have had previous experience in a related profession, prior to becoming a case manager. Those with no prior experience working as a case manager are very welcome to contact us about the employment opportunities we provide, or simply to learn more about case management and explore future career options. What are the advantages of becoming a Case Management Associate?
Becoming a CMA won’t be right for everyone, but it does offer a number of advantages depending upon what your own personal needs and professional aspirations are. In our new publication ‘Working with Social Return: Our Guide to Case Management Opportunities’, we take an in-depth look at the benefits of becoming an associate, along with the support our organisation provides to CMA's. What Hourly rate do social return offer TO associates?
The rates we offer vary, depending on the skills and experience of the Case Manager, but will generally be substantially higher than the hourly rates offered as an employee. This is because when we work with associates, we do not incur the considerable costs associated with employment. We discuss this matter in more depth in ‘Working with Social Return: Our Guide to Case Management Opportunities’. How do I find out more about the Opportunities on offer?
The best place to start is to read our new publication ‘Working with Social Return: Our Guide to Case Management Opportunities’. This will provide you with an overview of working as an associate and the advantages of the role. In the guide we also discuss the benefits of working with Social return and the support we provide. If you would like to know more or discuss the opportunities we provide in more depth, please feel free to contact us for an informal and confidential discussion. We would love to hear from you. CAN I WORK WITH SOCIAL RETURN AS AN ASSOCIATE IF I ALREADY WORK WITH A DIFFERENT CASE MANAGEMENT ORGANISATION?
Yes, being self-employed, CMA’s are able to offer their services to any number of different organisations and have the right to refuse any work that is offered to them. At Social Return we welcome CMA’s who work with other case management providers, as well as those who are employed on a part-time basis, or who also offer different services on a self-employed basis, such as those who work as independent therapists. WHAT IF I AM INTERESTED IN AN EMPLOYED POSITION WITH SOCIAL RETURN?
We recognise that the path to becoming a CMA will not be right for everybody. Some practitioners will prefer to work in an employed capacity with all of the benefits and security this brings. Social Return regularly advertise live case manager vacancies, on our website, on social media and via online recruitment services such as indeed.com. We advertise positions as they arise in different areas of the country, but we are also keen to hear from anyone with an interest in pursuing a case management career or seeking a change of working environment. Even when we are not actively advertising for roles, we would urge you to contact us and discuss your career options with us in the future. |
