Gail is an experienced paediatric case manager working with children and young adults, particularly as they move from child to adult services. She is passionate about implementing creative solutions to complex issues, employing person-centred planning methodologies and positive risk-taking strategies to achieve positive outcomes and ensure choice and autonomy for her clients.
With a background in nursing, specialising in children’s nursing Gail has also worked as a CHC lead and children’s case manager within statutory service and is experienced in commissioning packages of care and support for adults and children with complex healthcare needs, in receipt of personal budgets. She also has extensive knowledge of Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP). She is able to usefully draw on this knowledge in her case management role when considering state provision for her clients. Gail is qualified at level 4 in Safeguarding and is Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Parenting Programme qualified. As a case manager she works sensitively and skilfully with whole family systems drawing on her extensive experience of supporting many families as they develop and progress. Gail’s other roles have included quality management within a specialist healthcare setting for adults and children and leading the care service at a children’s hospice, as well as providing oncology nursing support and facilitating palliative care for children in the community.
